Established in 1925Key Club International was founded in 1925 by Sacramento High School in California. Key Club currently has 270,000 members. Key Club is an international student-led organization for high school students focused on community service and making a change. Members around the world are learning how to lead and stand for what’s right through service and volunteerism. We are a community who seeks to make the world a better place. We foster a sense of togetherness, compassion, ambitiousness, and so much more through our acts of service — all with the intention of changing our world.
In Key Club, we volunteer in many different ways and places. Whether it is helping set up for a local festival or passing out brochures advertising a farmer's market, we are strengthening the bonds of our community and, more importantly, carrying out service. By fundraising money on a division level for different organizations we are impacting the world more than we know it. We play an active role in the community and partner with selected charities like Erika's Lighthouse, providing numerous resources to raise awareness about teen mental health, specifically adolescent depression, and the Pediatric Trauma Program, reducing cases of pediatric trauma (the leading cause of death in children ages 14 and under). The California-Nevada-Hawaii District Key Club International, or CNH, is a governing body of Key Club International. The district currently consists of 75 divisions spread across the three states.
